The L-shaped profile sits on the corners of the pallet or the product. It takes the pressure of the strapping and stretch film, so they do not cut into or deform the packaging. The stack stays compact during wrapping, handling and on the road, including on long-distance routes.

What cardboard edge protectors are and how they work
Cardboard edge protectors, also called corner boards, angle boards or L-profiles, are strips of pressed cardboard folded at 90 degrees. They are fitted to the vertical edges of the pallet or to the edges of the product. Their main job is to protect edges from impact, abrasion and the pressure of the strapping.

- reduce the risk of crushing the boxes on the outer edges;
- protect the corners of products that have no packaging of their own.

Where pallet corner protectors are used
Pallet corner protectors are useful wherever goods are stacked and strapped. For furniture and doors, edge protectors keep the edges free of dents. For household appliances, they protect the casing during handling. For building materials, they keep stacks stable on the pallet. For export, they add an extra layer of protection over long distances.
Edge protectors work well together with industrial corrugated boxes and export packaging kits, where every packaging element contributes to load stability.

We do not work with a fixed set of sizes. You tell us the dimensions of the pallet or product, and we produce the pressed cardboard edge protectors in the right length and thickness. Cardboard edge protectors can be ordered on their own or together with the rest of your packaging. If you palletise corrugated boxes that we also produce, we size the edge protectors to the height of the stack. Before series production, you can receive a sample to check the fit on the pallet.
Edge protection from recyclable material
Pressed cardboard edge protectors are recycled together with the rest of your cardboard packaging. There is no need to separate them from the boxes for disposal. Edge protection adds no extra plastic to the pallet beyond the film or strapping you already use.
