Custom die-cut boxes made in Timișoara
WEPADI manufactures die-cut cardboard boxes in corrugated board, cut to the exact shape of your product. Unlike a standard box, they fold and close without tape, using tuck flaps and locking tabs. They suit e-commerce, retail, irregularly shaped parts and presentation packaging.
Every design starts on the drawing board. We draw the box around your product's dimensions, make the cutting die for your design and prepare a sample. You check the sample before series production and confirm the shape, board and print. Unlike classic FEFCO 0201 boxes, die-cut boxes carry a tooling cost, shown separately in the quote and paid only once per design. The minimum order quantity depends on the box size and board type, and you receive a quote within 24 hours.
We have been manufacturing in Timișoara, Romania, since 2011, supplying businesses across Romania and the European Union. We follow ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001. On request, the raw material can be FSC®-certified. We use 3-ply or 5-ply corrugated board, chosen according to the product weight and how it is shipped.
How die-cut cardboard boxes are made
The cutting die is the tool that cuts and creases the board into the flat, unfolded box shape. It is made once for each design and then reused for every repeat order. Creasing makes the board fold exactly along the set lines, so the box goes together the same way every time.
For standard-shaped, large products, a slotted box with no cutting die may be a better fit. You will find it on our FEFCO 0201 corrugated boxes page. We will recommend the right option once you send us your product details.
Cardboard mailer boxes and e-commerce boxes
A common style is the FEFCO 0427 mailer box, with an attached lid and side flaps that fold inwards. FEFCO 0427 boxes belong to the folder-type box group, shown on our FEFCO 04 folder boxes page. They close by folding and are easy for the recipient to open.
E-commerce boxes made to the size of the parcel reduce empty space and void fill. If you sell products in several sizes, we can design a range of mailer boxes with the same construction in different dimensions. Self-forming boxes, trays and display boxes
As well as mailer boxes, we make other die-cut shapes:

Shelf-ready boxes arrive at the shop with the goods inside and go straight onto the shelf, with no repacking. For products that need to be kept apart inside the box, we add cardboard dividers and inserts.
Custom printed boxes
Die-cut boxes can be flexo printed directly on the board with your logo, text and markings. Our graphic design team prepares the artwork from the vector logo you send, and the sample shows you the result before production. That way, your custom printed boxes reach your customers exactly as approved.

What is a cutting die?
The tool used to cut and crease the board into the shape of the box. It is made once for each design. The die cost is shown separately in the quote and paid with the first order; repeat orders of the same design do not pay it again.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. For new packaging we prepare a sample for you to check before production.
How do they differ from a classic RSC box?
An RSC box has a standard shape and needs no cutting die. A die-cut box has a custom shape and is quicker to assemble.
