Cardboard fruit and vegetable trays, made to order in Timișoara
WEPADI manufactures self-forming cardboard trays for growers, distributors and food retailers. The trays stand up to transport and stacking and keep their shape on the shelf. We make them to your dimensions from 3-ply or 5-ply corrugated board. The minimum order quantity depends on the size and board type. The trays are delivered flat, on pallets, so they take up little warehouse space until you use them. You can form them by hand or on automatic forming machines. For machine forming, tell us the machine type and we will adapt the tray construction to it.
We work from Timișoara, Romania, for customers across Romania and the EU. We are a family business, producing corrugated packaging since 2011. We follow ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001. On request, the raw material can be FSC®-certified. Before production, you can receive a sample to test with your actual product.
Cardboard trays for fruit and vegetables
Cardboard fruit and vegetable trays are used all the way from harvest to the store shelf. Growers pack directly in the field. Distributors stack them in the warehouse. Stores put them on the shelf without repacking. The same tray serves for transport, storage and display, which cuts down the amount of packaging used along the way.

Self-forming trays and cardboard trays
Self-forming trays reach you flat and are formed at the packing station. Alongside self-forming trays, we also produce cardboard trays suitable for transport and shelf display. Both options can be made for manual or machine forming.

Cardboard trays with ventilation holes
On request, we make cardboard trays with ventilation holes. They help air circulate around fresh produce. For cold storage, tell us the storage and transport conditions and we will choose the right board. That way the tray keeps its shape throughout the distribution chain.
The size and number of holes are agreed with you, based on the product. It helps us to know what you are packing and how long it stays in the tray, from harvest to sale. Before series production, you can receive a sample to test with your actual goods under your own storage conditions.
Logo printing and packaging design
The trays can carry your logo, printed by flexographic printing directly on the board. Printing is optional. A visible logo makes goods easier to identify in the warehouse, at goods-in and on the shelf. We can also help with graphic design and packaging design if you are starting from scratch.
